IT Sustainment Manager

·         Responsibilities:   Sustain the IT working environment for a user base of +3500 including Call Center and business office environments; Coordinate Sustainment efforts with LAN, WAN, Telephony, Facilities, and Inventory control, to execute projects including software rollouts, hardware deployments, and OS Conversions; Hiring, scheduling, and deployment of technicians to resolve trouble tickets generated by Remedy Helpdesk software; Manage 15 full time employees and various groups of contractors verifying their quality of work; Communicate the status of IT in the San Diego, LA and surrounding areas to upper management in northern CA and Chicago via multiple reports and weekly meetings.

·         Responsibilities:    Doing discovery and making work assignments for Y2K remediation project for AT&T Wireless; Coordinating the efforts of NSI in a dual contractor OS conversion project.  Managing the Twin Falls Idaho office, which included consulting with clients regarding the implementation and maintenance of their networks; Hiring, scheduling, and deployment of technicians, verifying quality of work, coordinating the marketing department’s efforts, and overseeing inventory control.

·         Responsibilities:  Manage all commercial sales representatives, bring in new accounts and service them, estimate jobs, prepare and submit bids, maintain the technological infrastructure between two offices by providing both hardware and software support.  Also responsible for the parking lot striping division of the company.

·        Responsibilities as a missionary were to find, teach, and convert people.  Responsibilities as the Mission President’s Assistant included: supervising 180 missionaries, handling and distributing their finances, providing motivation and training through monthly seminars and on the job instruction sessions, all done in Spanish.

International Business

1993 - Present

·         While employed fulltime, I attended Idaho State University working for a Bachelors degree in International Business. I am currently exploring alternative methods, in order to complete the 35 credit hours needed for the degree.  I also attended Salt Lake Community College and Ricks College.

·         Relevant courses taken include: Business & Professional Speaking, Computer Essentials, Personal Finance, International Trade and  Business, Independent Study in Mexico (1 month), Principles of Supervision, Business in a Changing World, Economic Principles, International Relations, and Psychology.

·         Graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1989.

Microsoft Word & Word Perfect, Windows 95, 98, & NT, personal computer hardware, the internet and web pages, motivational skills, excellent communication skills, account management, problem solving, development of new accounts, fluent in Spanish.
